The Insider Newsletter from Envisage Global Insurance - insurance news and information for the youth travel and cultural exchange world.
As we head into the autumn months, conferences are starting to come back (mostly in a hybrid format) and we are looking forward to 2022. We have some exciting new developments we have been working on with our new Travel Secure plan, and just around the corner the No Surprises Act will come into effect, hopefully giving some participants more protection on large medical bills.
We would love to hear from you, so if you have any questions or would like to explore insurance options, please let us know.
We are thrilled to launch our brand new group insurance plan, Travel Secure. Developed specifically for cultural exchange and youth travel groups, it offers unrivaled levels of coverage and benefits:
On January 1st 2022, the "No Surprises Act" is due to come into force in the USA. This new law provides federal consumer protection against surprise medical bills in the USA, and most importantly stops medical providers from balance billing patients. There are many parts to the act, and although balance billing protection is probably the main area that will affect most exchange plans, there are also other provisions that plans may need to comply with - such as updated Insurance ID card documentation, etc…
We are in the process of completing a full overview of the act, how it will affect cultural exchange participants in the USA and shall be making this available to all our groups within the next few weeks. If you have any questions in the meantime, please let your account manager know.
We are often asked the question, what benefits and limits are appropriate for my insurance plan? There is no right or one answer that fits all needs, as each group is different and has different requirements. Factors such as how long your participants are traveling abroad, where they are traveling to, and what program they are undertaking should all be taken into consideration when setting plan benefits and limits. You can learn more about this in our education article on our website.
New Claims Overview Video
Rolling out across our student zones is a new claims overview video that we have developed to help participants navigate their way through the insurance claims process.
The short three and a half minute video will guide your participants through each step and give them all the guidance they will need to successfully get their claim processed. If you would like access to the video, please either visit your student zone, or reach out to your account manager.
